BRC Food

The BRC Global Standard for Food Safety is developed by food industry experts from retailers, manufacturers and food service organisations to ensure it is rigorous and detailed, yet easy to understand. It provides a framework to manage product safety, integrity, legality and quality, and the operational controls for these criteria in the food and food ingredient manufacturing, processing and packing industry.

IFS Food

The IFS Food Standard is a GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) recognized standard for auditing food manufacturers. The focus is on food safety and the quality of processes and products. It concerns food processing companies and companies that pack loose food products.

FDA Food Safety Modernization Act

The FDA Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) is called to be the most sweeping reform of the FDA’s food safety authority in more than 70 years. FSMA is transforming the nation’s food safety system by shifting the focus from responding to foodborne illness to preventing it.
FSMA is a comprehensive top-to-bottom overhaul of the United States food safety regulatory framework. It touches every segment of the produce business supply chain from farm-to-fork. FSMA requires a multitude of standards to be met and procedures to be followed in order to comply with the law. It is changing the culture of the food safety system in the United States.
